HEMS IN THE HILLS BASKET COMPETITION
We would like to invite all Region 15 clubs to donate a basket to the Hems In The Hills Basket Competition to be held at the Regional Summer Meeting in Morganton. Tickets will be sold for chances to win any basket you choose. The donor of the basket with the largest number of tickets in it’s jar will win a new introduction from an outstanding region 15 hybridizer. Clubs or individuals may donate baskets. The more baskets, the more fun the competition is. Bring or send baskets to the Regional in June. We will check each basket in, and give it a number. That way, when the winning tickets are drawn, we will have the winners sign by the number of the basket they won, so we can have a record of who won what basket and we can send seasonal items to them at a later date if needed.
If your basket includes plants please do not put them in the basket. Put a description and a picture if possible on your list. Since it will be planting season you may bring the labeled plants separately if you wish to give to the winner at the meeting to avoid shipping.
Just fill the basket with items totaling around $100 or more. List the items on a sheet of paper to be placed with the basket on the display table. Baskets will be on display at the hotel, and tickets will be sold there as well. The drawing will be held following the banquet.
You may contact dlockman2003@yahoo.com with any questions or comments. Proceeds will be used to help defray the cost of the meeting not covered by registrations. Thank you for your generous support of the Region 15 meeting.

What can be said about Bob Selman's Blue Ridge Daylily Nursery that hasn't already been said about paradise?
Located in Alexander, NC near Asheville and Mars Hill, the garden follows a bubbling mountain stream through a lushly wooded valley.

Paul Cranfords Private Garden
CVDC member Paul Cranford's garden is even more remarkable when one considers the whole thing was ten miles away just three tears ago. Paul already had an impressive collection of the newest and best cultivars when he went looking for a home that would better accomodate his passion for daylilies. The new garden will be four years old this summer and Paul has accomplished a monumental task in moving and improving everything about it.
